Cheap and Green Recipes for Dishwasher Soap

Make Homemade, Phosphate-free dishwasher soap with a simple recipe.
Mix:
  • 1 T. Borax
  • 3 T. Baking Soda
  • 2 drops of lemon oil
Use this in dishwasher and you will never buy the store versions again.

    Hmm this sounds neat Im gonna have to try it. I have neve thought about making home made dishwasher soap :-)

    I believe this is safe for sink washing also. Borax is a safe ingredient for kids homemade "Goop".

    Does this leave a milky film on dishes? I have tried various eco recipes, and various eco premade products, and they all leave my dishes dirtier than they were to begin with!

    The lemon oil should cut through the film...rinse well...
